Exactly this ❤️ The unraveling. I am currently unraveling/unravelled. Not sure how far I’ve come yet. But suddenly instead of gloomy, I feel excited for the other side. Freedom is my word.

Yes! Unravelling is such a great word for it - I think we really do unravel at this stage of life. I certainly have, and whilst it's felt messy, it's also felt necessary - a kind of purging and releasing that's getting me ready for the next stage of life as a woman 'of a certain age' (fucking awful expression, but I feel it captures the essence of the way women are devalued by the patriarchy once they're past their so-called child-bearing years, whether they've had children or not)

Yes! Tired of the men who think they know best. I saw a popular male PT influencer try to push the narrative that dealing with peri weight gain is simply a case of eat less move more because science?! Nah mate even when many women tried to say it's not that easy or simple he just doubled down.

It's a really big pet peeve of mine! It's archaic at least it lets you know the ones to steer clear of because that is such old school advice. Peri or otherwise you need to work with food and nutrition that works for your body and there is no one size glove for any of it. X

I must admit you are my go to when suggesting someone for the not HRT road, though the reason for this is because of your pragmatic and logical approach to the whole shebang, both medicalised and non-medicalised. I tell people going to you removes the need (in my opinion) for trawling all the rubbish out there. I have someone else I suggest for HRT, who has as holistic approach as you can get from a medical point of view, someone for nutrition (as well as you, because my god that's a thing and is definitely all the isms) and a couple of people for movement. Because as well as the unravelling which has taken me to places I never knew I had, the hideous information out there was a contributory factor in how tricky it has been. In fact, even post-hysterectomy I was leafing through your book the other day for some wonderful comfort in what brought me here and how to care for myself going forward. Long winded way of saying I too love you being in that arena, as long as it is safely. But I can understand your reticence too! And I can think of no-one I would love more picking up the whole other stuff side of things too. Thank goodness for you whichever bit you are involved in, that's what I say xxx
